Conservatives in the new parliamentary constituency of East Grinstead and Uckfield have been warmly welcomed on the doorsteps.
Teams have already been out campaigning with parliamentary candidate Mims Davies.
In Uckfield the sun shone and local residents and businesses were able to talk about local, national and global issues of concern.
"It was great to be out and meet voters in the new constituency", said an EGU Conservatives spokesman. "Hearing grassroots opinions is so vital to shape the future. We will be out more and more over the coming weeks and months."
The new parliamentary area spans the East/West Sussex border, bringing together parts of the old Mid-Sussex, Wealden, Lewes and Horsham constituencies.
MPs continue to represent their constituents under the old boundaries they were elected on. The new boundaries will be used at the next General Election, expected to take place in 2024.
