Helen Firth is your local choice in the Uckfield New Town by-election on Thursday 4th April.
Conservative Parliamentary Candidate, Mims Davies, kick-started Helen's campaign on Saturday - meeting voters and engaging on local issues.
Helen is an experienced town and district councillor and a ward councillor until last May. The Independent elected then has now been disqualified for failing to attend council meetings.
This is a local election about local issues and comes at an important time. We are starting to see chaos caused by the Green Party/Liberal Democrat Alliance, helped by Labour and Independent councillors.
The Draft Local Plan Regulation 18 Consultation proposes nearly 18,000 houses. This number includes over 4,000 proposed in and around Uckfield. In February, the Draft Local Plan was supported and voted for by Uckfield’s Liberal Democrat and Labour councillors – it’s what they want for Uckfield and the surrounding area.
Already, there are many threats to our communities from the Alliance running Wealden. Now is the time to turn the tide.
