Experienced local councillor Sarah Webster is the Conservative candidate in a forthcoming Lewes District Council by-election in Wivelsfield ward, caused by the resignation of the Green Party councillor.
Sarah Webster has lived in Sussex for nearly 30 years and been a local parish councillor and Council Chairman for over 10 years.
She owns her own East Sussex recruitment business, with her husband, and has three children who have all attended local schools.
A keen runner and cyclist, Sarah has raised money for Rockinghorse for over 15 years
She has fought hard to protect green open spaces and produced a local neighbourhood plan that balanced local housing need whilst protecting village identity.
Local Plan
Sarah has helped with several local plans and knows the difficulties in producing a plan that will pass at referendum and hold up against examination scrutiny.
However, she is determined to see that rural villages are given the protection they deserve from Labour’s mission to concrete over the precious Green Belt that is so vital to our countryside.
